APRES UN REVE

Fauré music for alto flute. A collection of Fauré songs arranged for alto flute and piano by Elisabeth Parry and John Alley. The simplicity of these beautiful arrangements mean that they are are suitable for players of all standards, although more advanced players will relish the scope for expression, melodic shape, and tone colour that they offer. These gems of the French repertoire are ideally suited to the dark and mellow tone of the alto flute and make perfect short concert and encore pieces. They can also be used by teachers and students to develop expressive playing and tone colour as an introduction to French flute music.
