BIRDS Concerto (score & parts)

This work was commissioned by saxophone player Nobuya Sugawa. It is a concerto consisting of three movements, and was released on the CD 'Virtuoso Concerto!' released in May 2009. 1. Swallow: A light movement reminiscent of a swallow dashing through the cityscape in early summer. 2. Seagull: A movement that depicts the sadness or sadness of human life. It is a slightly modified 3. Phoenix: based on the theme of the legendary phoenix, and sings of hope and will for the future.
