BRASS ESSENTIALS A Study Companion

Brass Essentials: A Study Companion brings together 32 studies that Paul Cosh has used throughout his career as both a professional player and professor at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama.
The studies are divided into four main sections: Articulation, Finger Technique, Lyrical & Flexibility and Stamina & Flowing Technique and are drawn from those written by Jean-Baptiste Arban, Oskar Böhme, Marco Bordogni, Karl Wilhelm Brandt, Théo Charlier, Georg Kopprasch, Ernst Sachse and Walter Smith. Some of the studies have been both re-imagined and edited, providing a varied choice and a fresh challenge within each specific topic.
There are helpful tips at the start of each section and most of the studies have been given practice and performance tempi, although these are just a guide. The Study Companion can also work in conjunction with both the Arban Companion and Practice Companion to vary your practice diet.
