DINOSAURS

Having qualified at the Royal Northern College of Music, Zoë Booth embarked upon a performing career as a solo and ensemble flautist which has won her commendations and awards, and continues in recitals and freelance orchestral/ensemble work in concerts, opera, choral works and musicals. She teaches students of all ages on a one-to-one basis, abiding by her philosophy of encouraging a lifetime enthusiasm for music and inspiring self-improvement at every level. Zoë's own music was first published in 2006 since when her original compositions and arrangements have been much in demand by UK based flute ensembles - her arrangement of 'Bohemian Rhapsody' is very popular with flute groups and audiences.

'Dinosaurs' is original work of Zoë's, published in 2014 and aimed at young students from beginner to Grade 4. Each of its ten pieces is accompanied by the composer's footnote in which she describes the dinosaur of the title, the way the composition expresses that verbal description and advice on technique to bring the music to life (but not the dinosaurs!). This fearsome set of musical dinosaur descriptions can be enjoyed by a flute alone but are even more fun when accompanied by another flute!
