Giovanni Battista Bononcini (1670-1747), according to most sources, worked in London between 1720 & 1732 when his operas rivalled Handel's. This rivalry might well have been as much for political reasons as musical ones and when it was alleged that Bononcini had passed off a composition by Antonio Lotti as one of his own, he had to leave England. The 'Divertimenti da Camera' or 'Chamber Divertimentos' were published in 1722, by which time Bononcini was at the height of his fame and concentrating on opera. This edition by Hugo Ruf carefully reproduces the notation of the original.

  • Divertimento I - F Major
  • Divertimento II - D minor
