FIFTY FOR FLUTE Book 1 (Grades 1-5)

After studying with Herbert Howells at the Royal College of Music and postgraduate study at Nottingham University, Alan Bullard went into part-time music teaching which led to a permanent post in Colchester, Essex for thirty years, until 2005. This gave him the opportunity to compose a range of music including several wind ensembles and teaching material, notably "Fifty for Flute".
Book One contains thirty studies and is intended for students at Grades 1 to 5 "...., these attractive and well-crafted studies (also) contain a mix of articulations, speeds, time signatures and rhythms to provide original and varied study repertoire for teacher and pupil."
