FLUTE FAVOURITES Volume 1

Robin De Smet trained as a clarinettist at the Royal Military School of Music, Kneller Hall, after which he served for six years with the Band of the Lancashire Fusiliers. From there he moved into music publishing in London for twenty years and then achieved an inviable reputation as a freelance arranger and composer with over three hundred works to his name published in the UK, USA and Europe. He is also a noted peripatetic school woodwind teacher.

The six pieces Robin De Smet has arranged or edited for this collection are drawn from the Baroque, Classical and Romantic periods and vary in tempo from slow and graceful to a lively dance. Some will be familiar and popular, others less well known, but the one thing they all have in common is their tunefulness.
