FOLK DUETS for the Contemporary Flutist

Educated at University in Illinois and Music College in New Jersey, Ricky Lombardo is an accomplished flautist, keyboard player, composer and arranger with a number of published works to his credit.
His introduction includes this performance note. "This collection of folk songs is meant to be an enjoyable experience for both the first and second flutist. Both parts are equally important and should be treated likewise. These were deliberately arranged in a way to give the performers a feeling of playing jazz or contemporary-style flute while not having to read difficult jazz rhythms. Being very familiar songs, the melodies will be enjoyed by all. The musicians will feel good and have a sense of accomplishment while playing these duets.
