FOR KNULP (bass clef)

Knulp is a musical illustration of parts of the novel by Hermann Hesse. The story is indicated at the top of each movement. At the end as he dies God reassures Knulp, who has been a free spirit, that his life has been worthwhile despite his lack of success and worldly esteem.
