MR BENN

During his career as a tenor sax. player, Duncan Lamont has "Played with almost everyone in show business." including Henry Mancini, Benny Goodman, Frank Sinatra, Bing Crosby, Count Basie, Fred Astaire and Paul McCartney. He has arranged and conducted for the BBC for many years and two books of his own songs have been performed and recorded by well known singers such as Cleo Laine, Blossom Dearie and Richard Rodney Bennett.
Under the pseudonym Don Warren, Duncan Lamont composed the music for the popular BBC television series 'Mr Benn' which was first broadcast in 1970 and 1971. This selection of 10 tunes from the series has been arranged by the composer for flute and piano.
