SEVILLE CATHEDRAL

This atmospheric, post-minimalist phantasy quartet celebrates the musical history of Seville Cathedral, based upon cyphers created from the names of three renowned Renaissance composers: Cristobal de Morales, Francisco de Penalosa & Francisco Guerrero. The cellist doubles the Aluphone/Tubular/Handbell A4 at the beginning of the piece.

Seville Cathedral was commissioned by oboist Sarah Roper & Cuarteto Emispherio.
Premieres: Spain, March 2023; USA, September 2023; UK, March 2024.

This edition includes an Oboe Leading Score, which is a score with the oboe part in large staff and the string parts in small staff, in addition to the full score. The leading score enables the oboist to lead the rehearsals effectively. There is also a normal oboe part, for use in concerts. The oboe leading score should be utilised with an iPad & bluetooth foot pedal, to facilitate page-turns. A Bb part for Clarinet in Bb or Soprano Saxophone is also included.
