SOLOS FOR CLARINET

Experienced clarinet soloist, ensemble player and teacher Denise Schmidt presents a mix of transcriptions of familiar works and pieces written for the clarinet from the baroque through the classical and romantic periods to the twentieth century. In transcribing music for the clarinet, Mrs Schmidt has been careful to respect the composers' intentions and has sometimes suggested articulations, breath marks, dynamics and phrasing to help the performer with interpretation of that piece and to develop his or her musicality generally.
