SONATA in F major

This sonata was originally published in Amsterdam in about 1700, as part of a collection of ten sonatas for recorder and basso continuo and the only known surviving copy is preserved at Kings College, Cambridge. Gottfried Finger himself spent some 20 years in England and achieved recognition in London as a player and composer so that his name is sometimes anglicised to "Godfrey".
