TECHNICAL EXERCISES

These exercises were written and compiled by University Professor Gábor Tarkövi (Berlin University of the Arts).

Structure:
A practice scheme, transposed into all the major and minor keys. There are eight exercises per key with scales and arpeggios. Furthermore, this booklet also contains a chromatic chord exercise in major and minor.

Preface:
The exercises I have compiled in this book have accompanied me since my studies at university.
As a young trumpeter I was not particularly talented. Endurance, controlled articulation, and comfortably playing in the high register were only achieved after years of work, including among other things, these technical exercises. Therefore, this training program that I am passing on to you is still part of my daily routine.
You will find eight exercises for eight different technical challenges. Some seem to be quite similar at first sight, but still there are crucial differences.
