THE REVELATION

Christo (Hristo) Yotzov was born in Sofia into a family of musicians and following education at the Bulgarian National Music School and the State Academy of Music where he studied percussion, he started his jazz playing career at the age of 22. In 1986 his group 'Acoustic Version' won the title of European Jazz Artists of the Year and three years later he returned to the Bulgarian State Academy of Music as principal teacher of drums and vibraphone. Christo has composed for a number of jazz projects, for films and the theatre besides a Concerto for Clarinet (2002) and a Concerto for Oboe (2004).
