The three book set of Trumpet Studies & Duets by Mel Broiles represents some of the most inventive, challenging, and exciting writing for the trumpet in the 20th century.
Trumpet Studies & Duets Book 1 consists of 24 studies followed by twelve duets for two trumpets. The study section has some truly memorable etudes, including one of the most useful pages ever written on how to sustain the upper register, transposition etudes with changing keys throughout, etudes in a variety of styles like waltzes, westerns, solos in the style of Mahler, and much more.
