WALD WERK 12 (score & parts)

With 'Wald' (Forest), Claus Woschenko has created an impressive work that unites natural sounds, contrapuntal density, and sonic depth. Formally ingenious, like a matryoshka doll, homophonic and animated sections alternate - always with clear tonal coherence and an expressive musical language.
The work was composed in close collaboration with the Lausitz Horn Quartet, which premiered it in 2024. Revised in terms of range and part distribution, 'Wald' offers a captivating blend of technical challenge and musical complexity.
A compelling concert piece for ambitious horn quartets - inspired by nature, rich in sound, and formally precise.
