Doing Our Bit

At June Emerson Wind Music we do all we can to make our carbon footprint as light as possible

Energy
Most of our energy is generated by solar panels on the office roof.

Waste Recycling
We recycle as much as possible, reusing all packaging materials that are still in perfect condition, so you may receive your order in a box with someone else's logo on it!
All plastic waste (even bits of Sellotape and windows from envelopes) is collected and taken to a local waste facility, where it is processed to generate electricity.
All other waste is sorted and recycled. Vegetable waste goes on the compost heap in the garden.

In the Office
In the office we use almost exclusively recycled paper. We use both sides whenever possible.
We use exclusively fair trade tea and coffee.
Cleaning: we use biologically degradable soap and cleaning products.

Printing
All Emerson Edition music is printed on recycled paper.
Our covers are not laminated, but printed on good quality glossy card.
Our editions are not shrink-wrapped, and use of plastic bags to contain larger editions with multiple parts is kept to a minimum.
Our printing is done by a local printing company, which means short-distance deliveries.
We are introducing the option of Digital Editions to our website in order to reduce the amount of resources consumed by the production and worldwide distribution of printed editions.

Packaging
We never buy plastic packaging for parcels, and always re-use any plastic packaging that is sent to us by suppliers.

Customer Services
Returns: We never destroy returned books; they are re-sold if possible, or given away.
We have changed from plastic to paper and cotton carrier bags for trade events and customers who visit us.
