A great addition to the solo bassoon repertoire and a welcome change to the more classic studies. Not for the faint-hearted....still have a lot more work to do to get them under my fingers.

These Caprices are full of character and lyricism and well-written for the bassoon. (Full disclosure: one of them was written for me...) They're satisfying to play and I've seen them go over very well with audiences. Make sure JEWM gets the pagination right-- my copy was unplayable, with a page turn interrupting each two-page piece. Not smart.

Thank you for your review Fraser, always hugely appreciated. I'm so sorry you received an incorrectly paginated print of this publication. The publisher apologised to us and insisted that it was his fault, but we do of course share that responsibility. Thankfully, yours was the only faulty copy to be sold - quick reporting meant that the issue was resolved straight away.
