7 Pasos (2014) is a highly energetic, rhythmic, and powerful duo written for two bass clarinets. The piece is a display of the diverse colours of Argentinean popular music. Written for 2 low C instruments, both parts are enjoyable to play through its ever-changing rhythms while exploring within spaces left for improvising.

About the Composer:
Sebastián began studying the clarinet at the age of 9 with Roxana Mombelli at the Athos Palma choir and orchestra school. He continued studying with Eduardo Prado and later with Guillermo Sanchez at the Manuel de Falla conservatory of music, where he received the diploma in clarinet performance. He later perfected his formation with Mariano Rey and Carlos Cespedes. He started his orchestral activities at the Sinfónica Juvenil Libertador San Martín conducted by Mario Benzecry, from 2006 until 2011.

As clarinetist and bass clarinetist he joined the Orquesta CAF of Venezuela, conducted by Gustavo Dudamel; Orquesta Académica de Buenos Aires conducted by Carlos Calleja; Orquesta Sinfónica de la UNCuyo of Mendoza; Orquesta Juvenil Nacional del Bicentenario conducted by Alejo Pérez; Juventus Lyrica; Orquesta Estable del Teatro Colón; Orquesta Nacional de Música Argentina Juan de Dios Filiberto; Orquesta Estable del Teatro Argentino, La Plata. He also participated in masterclass, international conference and festivals: FEMUSC (Festival de Música de Santa Catarina - Brasil), January 2011, 2014 and 2015. Masterclass with Ovanir Buosi (Principal clarinet of the Orquesta del Estado de Sao Paulo) and Cristiano Alves (Principal clarinet of the OSB); Primer Encuentro de Clarinetes de Tucumán (2011); Masterclass with Milan Rericha (Czech Republic); Luis Rossi (Argentina), Donald Montanaro (USA), Valdemar Rodriguez (Venezuela); Jonathan Cohler (USA).

His passion with the bass clarinet and the composition drove him to composing solo, duo, and quartet music for the instrument among other combinations. He formed a duo with pianist Anais Cresin that aims at exploring the original repertoire for bass clarinet and piano. He plays with double bassist Juan Pablo Navarro in his contemporary Tango sextet and work as a session musician for film scoring music. Sebastián is a Buffet-Crampon artist and plays with a Prestige bass clarinet.
