The internationally recognized alto and bass flue virtuoso Dr Christine Potter holds a Doctorate in Flute Performance from the State University of New York. She runs workshops for the National Flute Association of the USA and helped to compile the Repertoire Guide for its 6000+ members. Besides performing at home in the USA and abroad, she teaches and has 19 published titles available including methods, studies and collections of her arrangements for flute choir and flute duet.

One of these is 'Fun Flute Duets' - 36 arrangements for 2 flutes of well known classics mixed with lesser known pieces, traditional tunes and songs from stage and TV, under the theme headings 'Food', 'Irish Traditional', 'Hallowe'en', 'Animals' and 'American Traditional'. In the foreword, Chris Potter writes "The pieces are suitable for players of varying ability and pose different challenges, such as rhythmic patterns or a range of pitches or dynamics, finger dexterity or breath control". She finds that the themes work well for student recitals, making them more memorable and providing a focal point for specific occasions.
