RachelPartner

As a child, Rachel never wanted to work at JEWM because she thought it was just 'a boring old office job'. However, in previous roles with the Musicians Diary Service, the London Symphony Orchestra and the London Metropolitan Orchestra she met many musicians who had nothing but praise for the company, which made her realise what a special place this is.
She has been working here now for 26 years and has never been happier! In her spare time she enjoys cooking, reading, acting and playing the horn.
JennyOffice Manager

Jenny has been at JEWM for 4 ½ years now and loves being part of the team. Her job entails dealing with customer emails, online orders, ordering from our suppliers and creating orders for our trade customers – oh, and making the morning coffee and eating the steady supply of chocolate biscuits!
Jenny used to be a secondary school Music and Performing Arts teacher, plays the piano and oboe (although this is a bit dusty these days) and now enjoys singing in 2 different choirs. She also runs a B&B with her partner, so no rest for the wicked!
GrahamAccounts

Graham is the new boy at JEWM, having started last summer. A background in senior financial roles in industry, he felt that the fit at JEWM was just right – looking to assist Rachel in moving the business forward and providing solid financial advice.
In his spare time, enjoys cycling, climbing mountains, and looking after a dalmatian puppy – always looking for the next challenge.
StewartTelephone

Stewart began working at JEWM in 2004, following a 24-year career as a music teacher.
Outside of work, he enjoys pottering in the garden and tending his vegetable plot as well as spending time in his shed making things for his wife that she never knew she wanted. A lifelong musician, Stewart plays both the horn and piano.
VictoriaTelephone

Victoria has been with JEWM for 2 years. She first worked in music retail with Forwoods of Canterbury whilst a student. She holds a music degree from Reading University, has taught ‘cello and piano and worked as a freelance ‘cellist.
A mother of four, she has held various roles in Music and Arts administration, including with the MMA (now Music Teachers’ Association), Helmsley Arts Centre and Ampleforth College Music Department. Locally she has sung with the Simeon Singers and acted with the 1812 Theatre Company. Spare time is spent gardening, walking and occasional composing.
JeremyTelephone

Jeremy joined JEWM from a career in rural Estate Management at the turn of the millennium, to take telephone orders which was the main ‘point of sale’ at that time. The coming of the internet changed that but there’s still plenty to do with answering enquiries, picking orders and dealing with stock.
Away from work he spends a lot of time in the garden, sometimes to good effect, and ‘churchwardening’ where the demands of a large early medieval church have to be met. Jeremy plays the trumpet for pleasure (whose?) and is finding the higher end of the range increasingly inaccessible (like the Andes), so a switch to lower pitched brass might be right – closer to the bass line which he sings in the parish choir.
JoyDespatch

Joy joined JEWM a year and a half ago after taking time away from the professional services sector to raise her family. Her role is looking after invoicing and making sure your music arrives through your letterbox in pristine condition!
Now a former musician, in her spare time Joy is a member of her village hall committee, enjoying getting involved in fund raising events, and at a ripe old age finally learning to play tennis.
SarahPrinting

When you order from our in-house catalogues, the Production team springs into action. We print to order. We create downloadable PDFs. We publish new music. We do our best to turn old sheet music from sow’s ears into silk purses.
I joined Emerson Edition 20 years ago from a publishing background. Working part-time with the friendly JEWM team is the best. Retirement? Not while the work is worthwhile and the view from the window is so glorious!
