A very reasonable price for a copy of this classic bassoon piece. It is considerably clearer to read than the original version, and it corrects at least a couple of wrong notes in the early edition. Unfortunately, it does have some idiosycrasies of its own, such as the omission of a slur on the very first beat of the piano part, despite including it two bars later, and then omitting it again in bar 4. Some of the original French markings are translated into English or Italian, but not others. Its inconsistent use of full stops and text fonts is also a little distracting. However, it does explain the editor's intentions on the inside cover, and I do like his sparing use of the tenor clef.
