Arrived completely new and is the clearest edition out there. The publishers could still do with adding in more of the staccato articulations in the Cortège section on the bassoon part as are printed in the piano part but this is the nearly most correct edition out there. Arrived promptly with the other music I ordered.

This is a good selection of pieces from different eras/genres - well worth buying as an album for players of this level in its own right (not just as an exam collection). Good value for money.

I ordered six pieces to go to Australia as a birthday present. Some had to be supplied from USA at the worst of all lock down times, which caused a delay. Nevertheless what they had was posted and what was from America was posted at a later date, when it arrived, at the company's expense. The service and communication all through was excellent, always going above and beyond my expectations. I have no hesitation in recommending them and would be my go to choice in the future.

I was really Impressed with the service. I ordered a trumpet scale grades book and due to our poor postal service it too quite a while to arrive. Once i informed the shop of this they were extremely helpful offering a replacement if the original didn’t turn up. Fortunately the book did eventually arrive but I could not fault the customer service from June Emerson. Will definitely use them again.

Interesting, well written and simply presented book concerning an often overlooked, but essential aspect of saxophone playing. I couldn’t find this anywhere but June Emerson Wind Music (and at great price).

The Bartok Contrasts are a little on the difficult side for me but good to work on. My wife plays the piano and I play clarinet. A neighbour is a very good violinist so we are always in need of good trios for that combination.

I bought this piece because my teacher recommended it for the diploma exam! Lovely short snatches of Hungarian folk music that enable the musician to capture their own style and feeling. There is a ‘cheat’ fingering for the last number using harmonics that makes an awkward fingering really easy! You’ll need a good pianist.

This piece is well known to oboists in the version for 2 oboes and Cor Anglais. But in this arrangement there is better distribution of melodic material across the two upper parts and the bassoon permits a real bass line. The three contrasted wind voices as opposed to homogenised oboe double-reed tones offer an attractive alternative. Beautifully done.

Very much about scraping to achieve a very soft yet playable Reed. Did go through process with a couple of ‘rubbish’ reeds and they are now okay for practice so there might be something in it. Will need to do a few more for more definitive answer.

This edition is part of the Leduc Marcel Moyse series; the 12 Boehm studies are edited by Moyse. Nice clear print, suggested breathing and metronome range of speeds.

I bought this book for a grade 4 piece in it, 'Hall of the mountain king', but was pleased to discover lots of great stuff in it like' The pink Panther', which i think my pupils will enjoy playing as G.C.S.E. solos, concerts etc.

Best workbook I have ever used, in 60 years of my (indifferent though passionate) playing. The pieces are carefully graded so one is making progress through (mostly) appealing tunes without realising one is actually accomplishing something. Ideal for the current lockdown because they do not require an accompanist.
