This is a demanding piece but one which will be worth the effort. A powerful sonata it deserves to be regularly performed.

This is an exquisite piece on either Bb or Bass. at about 5 mins it would make an excellent opening or encore.

This is an interesting work intended for solo Bass Clarinet which utilizes a wide range of the instrument from altissimo E flat, although not descending below low F. In consequence, it can also be very effectively used for the soprano instrument. Nevertheless, in sympathetic hands, this is a poignant and useful short addition to the recital repertoire of the Bass.
