The goal of this book is to expand the solo repertoire for the tenor recorder, which is all too often undeservedly moved to background. Having the range close to both shakuhachi and female voice, the tenor sounds really good for traditional songs. The book has both adapted vocal pieces, heavily ornamented flute pieces, a piece to be played shakuhachi-style (with the mouth not covering the beak) and van Eyck-style divisions.
I find the pieces to be very heavy on notation, and wish there were more annotations and a somewhat longer description. There is lots of staccato, slightly unusual to western ear ornaments, and a lot of dynamic variety which may be very hard to play on the recorder. But the main difficulty lies in the difference of these songs from the usual repertoire.

I truly believe June Emerson is the finest music publisher around, I have never had anything but 1st class service from them. I purchased this arrangement for a friend in the US and he received it super fast and in great condition. June Emerson's own publications are printed on the finest quality paper and the scores are bound in superb gloss/sheen card. Interesting quintet from the romantic period by the Danish organist Peter Rasmussen. Nice and original melodic material.

This is an excellent and elegantly written quintet. Beautiful melodies and interesting parts for all instruments. Stylistically, it is a bit reminiscent of the Carl Nielsen quintet, although the melodic material is quite different.

Bought this after hearing a YouTube of it while on the hunt for new repertoire - very agreeable to listen to, not too complex in putting it together to play - would recommend!

Moderately easy arrangements of three Gershwin favourites. Bundle includes score and individual parts for an alto sax trio plus individual parts for soprano and a tenor saxophones.

An excellent book outlining the life and teachings of Bill Adam. Adam taught everyone from Jerry Hey to Chris Botti so there's lots of useful exercises for the trumpet. I was looking at buying from the USA so was pleased to find it in a UK store.

Michael Sachs is princial trumpeter for the Cleveland Orchestra. This is a fantastic book full of useful exercises from warm-ups to etudes. Excellent text to accompany each routine. Highly recommended for all trumpet players.

This is an excellent book. Not only does it employ some of the fundamental technique exercises for trumpet players, but turning them into duets adds another level of development to the young player (blending, intonation etc)....and also helps keeps the teacher's chops in shape! ;-)
