Great fun to play. Complete ballet; more movements than in the Suite, and much interesting information, e.g. the story of the ballet. Does need advanced amateurs.

A pleasure if you can manage your breath control. A welcome addition to the 2 part inventions arranged for 2 clarinets. The paper is poor though and the printing not very good. I reprinted the score on firm white paper and it made reading easier.

Very enjoyable to play and not too difficult - sits well under the fingers as usual with Arnold who understands the instrument well.

Roy Harrison about  BACH FOR THE SAXOPHONE:
Sep 28, 2023
(Verified customer)
If you play the saxophone and you like Bach, then this will broaden your options beyond the first cello suite. Many of the pieces are difficult as the D/E level suggests, but some are simpler and there are 43 from which to choose, which is great value for money!

Competent arrangement of a real audience pleaser. Very brief but the inclusion of a less familiar theme from the same film score ['Brothers'- flute feature] makes a good pairing. The accompaniment parts appear straight forward but require a surprising degree of breath control.

Competent arrangement of Percy Grainger's take on this trad English tune. One of those few melodies which are still familiar to most age groups. We found it to be a great encore item taken at a brighyt pace,

This is a great piece for lunchtime concert - an unusual improvisatory twist on the much loved melody interesting for the bassoon and piano players. Useful to have both piano and string accompaniments.

Hiedi Bourne about  BLUES da Un Americano a Parigi:
Oct 3, 2023
(Verified customer)
This is a wonderfully fun piece! Has the famous Rhapsody n Blues gliss as it’s start. So it is great to hold the C vibrato go into this wonderful tune, where listeners don’t expect. The ending is one of the few pieces I know that stays in the altissimo for 13 bars, finishing on a long high alt. Bb. A joy to learn, a joy to play.

Lovely melodic Sonata well worth playing, but this edition is full of mistakes and bars missing so check the oboe part against the piano score. 2 bars missing in first mvt, one bar missing in 3rd movement.

This has been one of thd best purchases made recently. The music is fun and performable, but there are nuances in style and tricky bits, giving plenty of scope for practice and learning. The band members are enjoying playing it.

Alison McMillan about  THE BEATLES Four Songs (TC):
Oct 10, 2023

If you have 4 brilliant euphonium players, then I'm sure it is great. The 1st part is extremely high, which suited us with a flugel on the top line instead. It would be more generally usable if alternate parts for flugel, tenor horn and French horn were provided for the upper parts, and Eflat bass for the lower.

Christian about  CONCERTO in E minor:
Oct 25, 2023
(Verified customer)
I was informed the Boccaccini and Spada edition I originally ordered was no longer available which is a shame (please note this on the website). This Zerboni edition however is very clearly printed and the one which Galway plays (he has written cadenzas for the concerto with Toke Lund Christiansen which can be found on the internet). As I do not have the other version I cannot compare any variations in editing. This concerto though, along with the D Major (my favourite) are two enjoyable works and worthy additions to the flute repertoire.

I am really happy to recommend this edition to all music enthusiasts at both amateur and professional levels. We really appreciate playing famous music in an approachable format. In this instance, we do not have access nor resources to operating as a chamber ensemble yet the format acts as one.

Really enjoying playing these on tenor sax. Classic numbers Well written for the instrument, some have small sections to try improv solo. Would love a drumbeat or further band members on the accompanying backing track.
