Fantastic 2Oth century concerto from the pen of a master. The is first movement, Toccata, is sold separately. So don’t buy both. But Nino Rota is not only a great film composer his chamber music is great too. WmusicS.com

These are nice arrangements of traditional folk songs collected by VW. They lie well on the cor and the slow movements are quite haunting. Worth putting a recital to give contrast.

Practice routine compiled by a world class musician. It's a selection of material from other sources, including the extremely well-worn Arban and Clarke, and various less-known methods (mostly from the same publisher) by Mase, Plog, Quinque, Sandoval, Stamp and Stevens, and the excellent self-published studies by John Daniel, plus some very familiar performance material. So nothing new and much of it copied in incomplete form, forcing you to consult the original. The value therefore lies in the selection, practice advice and observations by Mr Richardson. Whether you consider these worth the quite high price of entry is your individual choice or preference.

An excellent book for those not comfortable with bass clef, or playing bass clarinet in A. Parts are accurate and the symphony I played had the same markings and bar numbers as the original part - very handy when the conductor shouts “from D” Delivery was also very quick.

These Moyse studies are not technically difficult for post grade 8 players. Grade 3 to 7 players will Also manage most without trouble. But you. Ed a really good teacher to help get the most out of them. They require slow methodical practice using specific articiulation techniques such as blowing without tonguing and also to develop sound and resonance. If these studies are not approached with technique in mind, you’ll be wasting your time. I find them refreshing for a change after working on studies or pieces.

These are expertly crafted pieces which provide welcome material to contrast with the more obvious Schubert and Spohr repertoire for any Soprano, Clarinet , Piano ensemble. The printing is impeccable and page-turns are not a challenge. Note that the Clarinet in A is prescribed. Highly recommended.

Currently rehearsing this Great Escape with double Reed ensemble, grades 3 to 5. They love it, but not keen on screamer top oboe part. Good to see solos across all parts, not just First, and bassoon parts split too. Recommend.

Really effective arrangement of pieces. Only small problem being that some of the clarinet parts are over the break so I had to transpose them down for the less advanced pupils. Still a worthwhile buy though and will feature at many concerts this year.

The piece is exactly what I hoped it would be. Although I am an amateur who never be able to play it at the level it deserves, I look forward to available for my own enjoyment. The service was prompt and excellent, especially given that I order from overseas and this piece is not available here.
